About Me
Hello everyone and welcome to my website! After graduating in 2014 I left my hometown of Durham, North Carolina to start my next chapter on the coast in the beautiful port city, Wilmington! I am a sophomore at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and I am majoring in Social Work. UNCW has been my dream school since I was fifteen, and I am so thankful that I have been given the opportunity to attend such a wonderful school. I am a first year Seahawk Link and could not be more excited to get to know the incoming freshman and help them with their transition to college! My favorite tradition here at Wilmington would have to be Beach Blast! I mean it's pretty cool that our school throws us a party on the beach before classes start!
My family and friends are the most important people in my life! My mom is my best friend, we talk every single day, no matter what. My dad is awesome and supports me in everything I do. I love telling stories about my twin sisters, they do some pretty funny things! Even though we fight most of the time, they can be pretty cool, and I've missed them a lot since leaving home. My four best friends got me through my four years of high school. I could go on about them for hours, but I'll keep it short. They are four of the most caring, wonderful people I've ever met. I'm so thankful for their friendships, and that we've been able to stay close since going our separate ways! Living in Durham has been one of the biggest blessings in my life, I love everything about my city. I'm a huge Duke fan, and having the opportunity to go to games always gets me excited. I couldn't think of a better place to grow up, and I'm so thankful for the people that have helped make me the person I am today.
My favorite quote is: "Have some fire. Be unstoppable. Be a force of nature." ~Grey's Anatomy
A little piece of advice to all my UNI students: ENJOY college! Freshman year is not always as easy as you think it is going to be. It's a huge change from living at home with your parents and going to high school where you have a solid group of friends that you are always with. Here you get to start over, make new friends, and new memories! Try new things, get involved, and don't be afraid to be outgoing. It might be hard at first but it gets better! I have made some amazing friends at UNCW and wouldn't change one thing about my freshman year, even the hard parts! I hope you love this school as much as I do!
